D.A. Davidson has appointed Garik Shmois as Managing Director in its Equity Research group, where he will lead coverage of the construction materials and building products sectors.
CLEVELAND, July 13, 2026, (BUSINESS WATCH GLOBAL) — Financial services firm D.A. Davidson & Co. has named Garik Shmois as Managing Director in its Equity Research group, expanding the firm's research capabilities in the construction materials and building products industries.
Shmois brings more than 20 years of experience in equity research, financial modeling and market analysis. Prior to joining D.A. Davidson, he served as Managing Director and Industrials Sector Head at Loop Capital Markets, where he led coverage of construction materials and building products companies. Earlier in his career, he held senior research positions at Longbow Securities and National City Bank.
He has been recognized multiple times by StarMine Financial Times as the No. 1 earnings estimator and No. 1 stock picker in his coverage universe. His research has also been featured by The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Bloomberg and CNBC.
