BURBANK, Calif., March 10, 2026 (BUSINESS WATCH GLOBAL) — Entertainment company, The Walt Disney Company, has announced the appointment of Paul Roeder as Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Communications Officer, effective March 19.
Roeder will report directly to incoming Chief Executive Officer Josh D’Amaro and will lead Disney’s worldwide communications and public relations strategy and operations. He will serve as the company’s lead spokesperson and oversee enterprise and business segment communications, regional communications teams in EMEA, APAC, and Latin America, as well as media relations, executive communications, internal communications, public affairs, and corporate social responsibility.

Roeder, a 25-year veteran of Disney, most recently served as Executive Vice President, Communications – Disney Entertainment Studios, Direct-to-Consumer, and International. In that role, he oversaw global communications strategies for The Walt Disney Studios and its production units, including Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar Animation Studios, Marvel Studios, Lucasfilm, 20th Century Studios, and Searchlight Pictures, among others.
He also led communications teams supporting Disney Entertainment’s Direct-to-Consumer group, ESPN’s Product and Technology division, Platform Distribution, International divisions, and the company’s Office of Technology Enablement.
Roeder has led communications for The Walt Disney Studios since 2010 and previously held roles in Corporate Communications beginning in 2002, after joining Disney’s ABC communications team in 2001. He began his entertainment industry career at William Morris and later worked as an assistant to the executive producer on the film Meet the Parents. Roeder holds a bachelor’s degree in English from De Pauw University and is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
