PORTLAND, Ore., March 24, 2026 (BUSINESS WATCH GLOBAL) — Insurance company, Standard Insurance Company (The Standard) has announced the promotion of Nathan McKinstry to Senior Vice President of Employee Voluntary Benefits in IT.

McKinstry will continue leading the operations, transformation, separation and migration of The Standard’s acquired business, American Heritage Life. The company stated that his expanded responsibilities reflect his leadership in overseeing integration efforts and maintaining business continuity.

“Nathan’s leadership has been instrumental during a period of significant growth and transformation. His deep technical expertise, strategic mindset and strong partnerships across the organization continue to drive positive results for our business,” said Greg Chandler, Executive Vice President of Information Technology at The Standard.

McKinstry has worked at The Standard for nearly 20 years. During his tenure, he has led operations across architecture, application development and technology. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Employee Voluntary Benefits in IT.

McKinstry holds a bachelor’s degree in information systems from the University of Washington and is a certified IBM consultant.

The Standard was established in 1906 and provides group and individual disability insurance, life and accidental death and dismemberment insurance, dental and vision insurance, voluntary and supplemental benefits, absence management services, retirement plan products and annuities.
