Storion Energy Names Sue Ozdemir Chief Executive Officer to Lead U.S. Expansion in Flow Battery Production

ALPHARETTA, Ga., October 1, 2025 (BUSINESS WATCH GLOBAL) — Energy technology company Storion Energy, a manufacturer of components for Vanadium Redox Flow Batteries (VRFB), has appointed Sue Ozdemir as Chief Executive Officer.
Ozdemir brings more than 20 years of executive experience in the electric motors and energy storage industries. According to the company, her appointment is part of Storion’s strategy to expand domestic production of vanadium electrolyte and power assembly stacks used in VRFBs to support growing demand for long-duration energy storage across the data center and artificial intelligence sectors in the United States.

Prior to joining Storion, Ozdemir served as Chief Executive Officer of Exro Technologies, where she advanced electric vehicle motor control technology. She previously held leadership roles as CEO of Wolong Electric America, GE Motor Division, managing operations across North and South America and Asia, and as CEO of GE Power Conversion, where she led global commercial strategies for small industrial motors.
Storion Energy is a joint venture between Stryten Energy LLC and Largo Clean Energy Corp., a subsidiary of Largo Inc. The company is developing a vertically integrated supply chain for VRFB components, providing power assembly stacks and vanadium electrolyte to support scalable long-duration energy storage solutions. Storion has operations in Alpharetta, Georgia, and Wilmington, Massachusetts.
