BLOOMINGTON, Minn., August 12, 2025 (BUSINESS WATCH GLOBAL) — Outdoor environment solutions company The Toro Company has appointed Edric C. Funk as president and chief operating officer, effective September 1, 2025. Funk, who has been with the company for 29 years, will oversee all global businesses and integrated supply chain operations, reporting to Richard M. Olson, chairman and chief executive officer.
Funk has served as group vice president of Golf, Grounds and Irrigation since 2022. He joined The Toro Company in 1996 as a design engineer before transitioning to marketing in 2003. Over the years, he has held leadership roles in the Residential, Landscape Contractor, International, and Commercial businesses, as well as serving as managing director of the company’s Center for Technology, Research & Innovation.

During his tenure, Funk was involved in the acquisitions of Left Hand Robotics and TURFLYNX, which advanced the company’s development of robotic mowing platforms. He also established the company’s Technology Forum and supported integrated smart systems for customers.

Funk holds a Bachelor of Science in engineering and an MBA from the University of Minnesota, as well as a professional certificate in innovation and technology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He serves on the boards of the National Golf Foundation, The Toro Company Foundation, and Red Iron Acceptance.
