CHELMSFORD, Mass., February 5, 2026 (VSNewsNetwork.com) — Medical device manufacturer ZOLL has announced the appointment of Eric Knudsen as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective April 1. Knudsen will succeed Jon Rennert, who will transition to the role of Executive Chairman of ZOLL’s Board of Directors after serving as CEO for the past 10 years.
ZOLL stated that Knudsen has played a key role in developing the company’s growth strategies and expansion efforts. His appointment follows more than a decade with the organization in senior leadership roles.
“As a global leader in medical technology, ZOLL is continually looking for ways to expand our business and reach more patients in need. Eric has played a unique role in developing our growth strategies and driving our expansion, and I am confident he will lead ZOLL to even greater growth and success,” said Jon Rennert, former Chief Executive Officer, ZOLL.
“I am honored to become ZOLL’s next CEO. ZOLL has a long legacy of innovation and clinical excellence, and today our medical devices, software, and related services are used worldwide to diagnose and treat patients suffering from serious cardiopulmonary and respiratory conditions. We will continue to lead with our commitment to patients and customers and our passion for improving outcomes and helping save lives,” said Eric Knudsen, Chief Executive Officer, ZOLL.
Knudsen has nearly 30 years of experience in the medical technology industry, with a background in business development and corporate strategy. He previously led ZOLL’s Corporate Development team for six years, overseeing strategic investments and acquisitions.
