Lincoln Financial Names John Morriss Executive Vice President and Chief Investment Officer

RADNOR, Pa., September 29, 2025 (BUSINESS WATCH GLOBAL) — Financial services company Lincoln Financial (NYSE: LNC) has appointed John Morriss as Executive Vice President and Chief Investment Officer, effective October 13, 2025. Morriss will oversee Lincoln’s general account, funds management, and private markets investment strategies, representing more than $300 billion in assets under management. He will report to Ellen Cooper, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer, and will serve on the company’s Senior Management Committee.

Morriss joins Lincoln Financial from Fortitude Re, where he served as Senior Vice President, Head of Public and Private Fixed Income, managing insurance-focused investment portfolios. He also previously held a senior leadership role within Lincoln’s investment organization.

Morriss brings more than 30 years of investment experience, including expertise in portfolio management, asset allocation, and multiple asset classes. His prior experience includes four years at Lincoln as Senior Vice President of Fixed Income Investments, 18 years at TIAA in leadership roles across structured finance, international and high-yield credit, and portfolio management, and earlier experience as a currency trader at Chase Manhattan Bank.
