TOLEDO, Ohio, December 18, 2025 (BUSINESS WATCH GLOBAL) — Building products company Owens Corning has announced the promotion of José Méndez-Andino, Ph.D., to Executive Vice President and Chief Innovation Officer. Méndez-Andino will lead a newly expanded innovation center responsible for advancing product stewardship, accelerating core process and product development, overseeing enterprise capital projects, and creating new applications to broaden the company’s position in building products markets.
The expanded role aligns with Owens Corning’s enterprise strategy to strengthen its commercial, operational, and innovation capabilities and support long-term organic growth. Méndez-Andino will continue reporting to Chair and Chief Executive Officer Brian Chambers and will remain a member of the company’s Executive Committee.

Méndez-Andino has served as Executive Vice President and Chief Research & Development Officer since 2021. During his tenure, the company launched more than 220 new or improved products over the past five years. He joined Owens Corning in 2012 and previously held R&D leadership roles across the company’s business segments. Before joining the company, he spent 10 years at Procter & Gamble in science, product development, and new business creation.
